My grandma Alice knitted both these hats for the baby before we knew what it was. Naturally, Zian inherited the pink one after Jonah came. She couldn't wait to get it on her baby doll.

now, I don't usually post awful photos of myself but a couple weeks back I was busted for eating a cup full of baby pickles with salt on them...thought it might make some of you chuckle.

The delivery went very smoothly and was pain-free.
It was truly a perfectly wonderful experience and we are so excited to welcome little Jonah to our family!!!

no more cats

We are now completely cat-less...which means I have been and will be crying on and off for the next few days (maybe weeks). Saying goodbye to our family pets has been very hard for me (since I've grown up with animals my entire life) and of course wondering if they are being well taken care of isn't much fun either. But now we begin another chapter of our lives with a new baby and no animals, which will both take some getting used to. If you get a chance, please say a prayer for our family as change is always hard but we know God will get us through it. Thank you.

Lake Geneva Bible Camp

Every summer I have wanted to take Johan up to Alexandria to see and experience the place I grew up going to family camp, but it has never worked out....
until this year, when we just MADE it work.

The cabin I used to stay in was no longer there so we got this one with my mom and stayed just one night (which was fine with me since it was too hot to sleep...90 degrees of dead air).



We all had a day of fun...Zian and Johan enjoyed the neat water obstacles and Adon swam with mommy in the shallow.



This would be Adon minus a nap.



We all attended the Friday evening service, where I was told by a complete stranger that I looked miserable and asked if I was having twins!! Some people just don't have any common sense when it comes to conversing with others.
