The Work is Done!

 Our Home-schooling Year is up and we had a TON of FUN!!!

Zian did so great all year long and just took her CAT's online yesterday at Christian Liberty Press.  Her scores were so stinking high we couldn't stop reading them over and over again!  I just LOVE that Home-schooling gives my kids a BIG step up from public schools...AND that it is completely Bible based in every subject!

All along the way Johan and I were just amazed at the subject material and what wonderful Biblical characteristics were taught!  God really blessed us with the perfect curriculum and I am so excited to start the next grade with Zian.

What a GREAT first year of Home-schooling it was!!!    :)

Zian got a 500 piece puzzle of a humming bird (her favorite bird) 

for her Birthday and when it was finally completed, 

it was beautiful and she was so proud. :)

When we moved, Zian's room was the first of the projects we adopted...
she chose the carpet, the wall color, and the 4' vinyl tree for her wall.  

It was our little project together to put the tree up...we couldn't wait to get it in the mail! 

 It is so darling and her (and my) favorite thing about her new room.

It was a perfect night for relaxing by the fire with some marshmallows.
We lit the tiki torches and the kids chased each other around the yard.

Easter Sunday

The single most important day in the history of the world is Easter Sunday and I get so excited about what Jesus did for us!  Johan and I watched the Passion of the Christ with Mom as a blunt reminder of what a wondrous sacrifice was made for our sins....very hard to watch but VERY necessary.  It humbles you very quickly!  The world today focuses on all the wrong things when it comes to Holidays (and most else) and I don't want to get caught up in the traditions of man and forget what it is really all about.  We follow a RISEN Savior!!!

We did color eggs and do the "hunt" with the kids.  It was fun and they looked so cute in their little outfits!
