taste of {summer}

This year we were able to make it to the Cokato Corn Carnival

for free and delicious corn-on-the-cob and amazing smoked pork chops.

(is your tummy rumbling yet?)

Then we had super messy ice cream cones before we left

that were well worth the clean up. :)

 It has been a wonderfully HOT summer so far

and we are not about to let go yet!

{Jugglers} join the team!

We were so blessed to run into The Nichols Family ,

a family of traveling Missionaries/Jugglers/Musicians 

during the first part of the week

and it certainly was God's handiwork to meet up with these

incredible servants of Christ.

They joined forces with our team and entertained the children (and us!) 

during VBS and one of the Orphanages we visited.

What a FUN - AMAZING - GIFTED family they are!

They performed "The Giving Tree: for all of us - it was awesome!

it was an amazing privilege to hang out with them!

{JOY} in the midst of trials

  

After processing for a week, I am ready to share a bit more

of our travels and the work the God did through and around us.

"A picture is worth a thousand words" 

someone once said.

And in this case, it is truth

so I will use photos to tell the story of 

of JOY and STRUGGLE all around us

while we were there.

Pastor Rick liked to get really involved with the kids..we laughed at him a lot ;)

 During VBS we played games, sang, listened to Bible stories, learned verses, made crafts, and fed the kids!  Whew!!
