water park fun

I took the kids to Silver Lake Pool this
afternoon so we could have some fun in the sun!




Zian couldn't get enough of the
diving board and water slide!








...and Adon jumped, splashed and giggled
in the shallow end all afternoon.

the kids had a blast and were so excited to go there!!! :)

Nelson Family Reunion '09

This year our Nelson Family Reunion was held at Grindstone Lake Bible Camp in Sandstone, MN and we headed up early to spend some time at my parents cabin.
We all had lots of fun visiting, eating wonderful food, and playing together!

Papa made some smores for all of us around the fire...



...and they were soo00OO00o yummy & sticky!!!

Fourth of July

Our family had planned to spend a 4 day weekend up at my
parents cabin near Sandstone, MN for the 4th, but our plans quickly
changed when I came down with a fever/earache/sore throat the night we arrived.
We made a tough decision to turn around and head home
in the morning so we wouldn't spread the whole nine yards
to all the other kids (a.k.a. ruin the fun).

Adon came home with us and Zian stayed with G'ma & G'pa.
We let Adon light up a few sparklers in our backyard.




He really enjoyed them and was excited to be
allowed to play with fire for once! :)

The only fish we caught...

Every year Zian tends to out-fish us all
and this year was no exception...
