Easter Baskets

This Easter it was warm enough to hide the eggs outside in the backyard...so Saturday afternoon we all had a blast hiding and finding eggs filled with all sorts of treats! Adon actually got really into it and found about 6 on his own :)

Then before church on Sunday we gave them their baskets, which they were very excited about!

Our Story...

Johan & I are so happy to be blessed with each other as partners for life! He was born in Clocolan, South Africa and I in Litchfield, MN. I know you're dying to know how we met so here ya go: e-Harmony! He was already over here in America working on a farm in North Dakota and I was attending college in Willmar, MN studying to be a Vet-Tech. Our correspondence started by e-mail and then continued on to phone calls until one day we decided to meet at a Starbucks in St. Cloud, MN. From the very first read of each others profile, we both felt God's hand in it and knew He had VERY BIG plans for us! Soon after we met, Johan took me to his home country to meet his entire family and see his homeland before he asked my hand in marriage. We were married a few months later and moved to Hutch. We have two AMAZING children that light up our lives with so much joy and silliness! Someday soon we are hoping to add to our little clan, but for now we are soaking up every minute watching our children bloom and grow and experience so many things for the first time with so much excitement.
Zian is now 7 and she is VERY smart. She started reading as many books as she could get her hands on at age 2 and she hasn't slowed down yet! She loves 1st Grade and her favorite subjects are Math, Art & Reading. Learning new things is her passion along with reading the Bible and being a little witness to her classmates! Her personality is so sweet and caring...she is genuinely the most loving person I know. She adores her little brother and says she can't remember what life was like before he came along! They have a blast together chasing, wrestling, and hugging each other as much as possible.
Adon is 18 months and always has a BIG infectious SMILE on his face! He is the silliest person I know and makes us laugh from morning til night. He knows just how to get you going and how far to push it. His little mind is just soaking up every little thing around him and he loves studying how things work and why. Destroying things and running at full speed are his passions right now (at least when Zian is not around). His big blue eyes and gorgeous smile can melt you in 2 seconds flat..not to mention that hardy laugh of his that you would never guess came out of a little boy!
We also have 2 cats, one female Siamese & one all white male. They are hilarious to watch and no matter how much they fight during the day, they are always cuddling tight and loving on each other in their little kitty bed every night! It is so cute...just like a little married couple! ha
Johan is working at 3M right now and has a photography hobby on the side, while I get to stay at home and take care of everything and everybody there! I absolutely love what I do and wouldn't miss our children growing up for the world! Johan is a very hard worker and is gifted at many things. God has BIG plans for our family and we can't wait to be used by Him!
